it'll melt if you get 55w. just get 35w hid's and you should be fine

Skip it (and the dangerous glare that comes from HIDs in halogen headlights) and save the money for your retirement.

I switched my oem HID's in the headlights to 6000's and switched my fogs to a kit I bought from HIDextra.com to 6000's also. They all match and it was a piece of cake to install and hook up. Couldnt be happier.

Same here, i have 6k 35w HID's in the fog from DDM and love them. No issues and install was easy. If you where just worried about melting don't be it wont happen.

No issue as long as you stick to 35w HID's. Stay away from the 55w's. Also the headlights can be a little tricky. Easiest way I found to do it was take front 2 wheels off and take the fender liner out just like the diy article shows for hooking up HID's. Then just pull the old bulb out and put the new one in. No kits needed for factory HID headlights, just make sure you order a D2R bulb in whatever color preference you have.

Ive always heard people say DDM is great and the other brand they offer is supposed to be just as good. I ordered everything I have on my car through HIDextra.com and couldnt be happier. A buddy of mine recommended them. He has them on his Acura TL and he installs the kits from the website on alot of kids cars around here. Very good quality and you cant beat the price, plus the ballasts are a really nice size. Even without factory HID's you should still go with 35 watt. Just pick what color you want your bulbs to be. I have 6000 in my fogs and headlights. With my headlights all I needed was the bulbs to change out, but with yours you will need a kit for the fogs and a kit for the headlights. Same principle though. It all works the same way. Usually HIDextra.com sells the kits for 35 dollars with shipping if I remember right. So you should be able to do your fogs and headlights for around 70 dollars. You cant beat that. I would recommend either staying OEM color and keeping it at 4300k, or if you like really bright which is what I got. Thats 6000k. I call it super white. Its as white as you can get. And then there is 8000k which is what my buddy has and they are super bright but they have this light blue tint to them. Just remember the fog lights are H11 on your car and if your car didnt come with HID's then your low beams are also H11. So just order 2 kits with H11 bulbs and then pick your color. Its really just personal preference. Let me know if you have any questions.

I think 5000 is whitest which is what I have and even then there's a slight tint of blue. 6000k has more blue and 8000k is significantly blue. 4300-5000 is brightest

My HID kit came with rails and mounts for the ballast. I took my front bumper off, drilled holes, and mounted the ballast on my front bumper support bar. Then I put the big piece of styrofoam or whatever the hell it is back on and put the front bumper back on. I also zip tied everything up close to each other. Any other questions just hit up the thread.

do you guys think it's worth it to get HIDs for your highs?? do you use just halogens for the highs like Sylvania Silverstar Ultras or do you go with higher rated bulbs like 80w/100w with upgraded OEM wiring harnesses??

I never bothered with switching out to HID for highs because the lows are so bright anyways. To each their own though. Im sure it would look good either way.

Do not get HIDs for your high beams. The reason is HIDs take awhile to warm up and if you have them as high beams when you turn them on they will not be bright for about a minute or two which kinda defeats the purpose. Stick with the OEM bulbs for the high beams.

Stay away from Silverstar, their bulb life is so s***.

1. OEM Bulb for DRL/High Beam.
2. HID 6000K for regular Low Beam.

Of course that's my opinion. It give me the best visibility while giving the car a "rich" look front the front end when the HIDs are on. With 6000K it's pure white and you can see for days.

Is a relay harness necessary for our coupes when installing the HIDS?
