Hi all, obviously a noob here. I personally don't have a Versa (I drive an RSX-S ), but my Pop does. He recently became interested in getting some HID's after seeing them in my car.

Anyway, onto the discussion; my car obviously requires an H1 fitment, so I didn't need to concern over the H4 option for hi/lo as the Versa does. However, my question for you guys is do the H4 hi/lo HID's retain high beam functionality, or is it solely to remain legal for inspection as I interpreted it? Or would it just be better suited to save the additional money and just buy a regular H4 kit and say nay to the hi/lo option?

TIA gentlemen.

I recently bought the bi-xenon and from what i have understood they are legal, i would tell you get the bixenon that extra feuture for the high beams do come handy

Thanks for the quick responses.

@ TryingDrive, thanks for the video. It seemed as if the highs didn't really serve much of a purpose in the video (it could just be my perception in the video), but do you find them to be practical? I mean, not that you'd be using highs much with HID's anyway.

Interesting so far, though.

well, with mine, when you switch to high beams, the filament actually moves. Bringing the light pattern of the same bulb, up. Which is mainly all high beams do anyway. They work awesome when you need them.
