I just installed a 6000k HID kit for my M35X and the light output is going out to the sides not straight on like the haolgen bulbs did. So what do I do now? I know that they can be adjusted up and down but How can I fix this?

thanks

This is because your reflectors are not designed for HID.

You are getting glare. You also probably installed a DS2 bulb which is designed for projector type housings, not complex parabolic reflectors.

Even if you used DR2 bulbs you still are going to get glare and uneven beam pattern.

Your only solution is to get some type of shield or retrofit some real M45 HID projectors.

dittoyou have to realize that you put bulbs that put out 3x more light than what was in there before. you can try to adjust them to the inside and lower a bit but you can only go so far. also make sure the bulbs are installed correctly, if they arent they hit the reflector in a different manner and scatter the light wherever it wants to

So I am confused as to what you found out? You tried to install factory HIDs into your halogen housings?

I bought D2S bulbs stupidly when my halogen housing are OEM H1 so I replaced the H1 halogen with H1 HID's and added the ballasts

You mean you purchased HID capsules with a rebased H1 base. No OEM manufacturers make HID capsules for halogen bases. You can find a few companies that might take a Phillips or Osram bulbs and rebase them but most are cheap asian stuff. Be warned.
