I love the output of the altimas headlights and was curious if i switch to 6000K hid will the output be worse. I know if i go any higher than 6000 i'll lose more lights to the blue and purple colors. I think 6000K is a good way to go but is it worth the money? Need some opinions. are there any problems with the hid lights like blinding drivers or voiding warranty?

Do you have HID now? If not they will be way brighter then the stockers. If you do have the oem HID maby only 10% loss....6k is a nice color temp on HID's

If you go any higher than 5200k you start to lose usable light. The color will get blue/purple with less light.

You have to remember that rain and fog attenuate the blues a lot while the white/yellows are still cutting though. Also the blues cause double images with those with hi index glasses. (prism effect)

I stick with white/yellows and avoid the blues. I do like projectors but don't use them because but they strobe other drivers too much.
