Hey guys... I spoke with an ebay seller... here is the deal... If we buy 10, they will be $67 delivered.. Another 10 bucks gets it to you priority mail, sent the day after i get them.... So $77 DELIVERED to you guys Im going to get 2 sets, so im looking for 8 more sets... if theres more demand, ill get more, and maybe for a few bucks cheaper... but i dont think you will get it cheaper than this. The guy has decent feedback as well.http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAP...:1123

A penny for your thoughts?

In addition... I spoke with another ebay seller who will get me the X-Lights that Generic has for $75 a set... or $85 delivered to you guys... heres a link to his stuff... just by the looks of it it seems xlight may be better quality... im open ... ALSO.. both these guys have all the colors as u can see on thieir pages.. we can pik what we like... ALSO... THE X-LIGHT SELLER WILL ALLOW US TO SEND HIM PAYMENT DIRECT VIA PAYPAL (so i dont touch your $$!)

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAP...:1123

Either way... im in... And im more than willing to do the legwork on this one for us all to get a SLICKDEAL... One of my favorite websites by the way..

Also... I will take the lead in getting group discounts (intake, exhaust, dash kit, and shipping them to everyone (for the 2.5, sorry i cant get in on 3.5 stuff).... Im a trusted ebay powerseller... and shipping isnt a hassle for me so im glag to help!

PAYMENT... the easiest way to get me the money would be paypal... but you need to add 3% if you do that bc of the fee... I will also take checks and money orders if you prefer.

Warranty... taken up directly with the ebay seller.. the manufacturer... "• For warranty, there is 1 Year warranty directly from us . If there is any problem with the bulb or ballast, just ship it back to us, we will replace a new one for you. The buyer will be charged a shipping cost. Any defects resulting from fire, acts of nature, misuse, abuse, modification, improper installation, vehicle crash, or any type of impact will not be replaced under the warranty. Any modification to the system or operating on a vehicle with damaged headlight housing will void the warranty."

Ok. I have no problems with a group buy being run. Although, I do have a couple concerns...

- If the item arrives DOA. Can the item be returned to the eBay seller from the end buyer. You are essentially purchasing them, so you are the buyer in the eBay seller's eyes.

- If the item has a problem operating within the warranty period. Same points as above. Who takes care of what here?

The item is being shipped twice? From the eBay seller to you, and then you to the final buyer?

If you are collecting money, I expect you to be in full contact with each buyer since you are essentially being a middle man.

I'm not questioning you directly LBC. Just want to clear up some things so everything is peachy and nothing happens

NOOOO problem man.. yes i would be a middleman in all this.. and i am honestly not looking to make 1 dollar... all i want is a SLICK DEAL... im getting my stuff ready to camp out for black friday..

Warranty issues would be handled in the same fashion they would be if they bought it from the seller directly and would be handled thru them...

I will be in contact with any of the guys who want to get in my deals with me... Please feel free to check me out on ebay again at HookedUpStang and you can check my rep at slickdeals.net for more support... also while you are there you can check out my BLACK FRIDAY THREAD!http://forums.slickdeals.net/s...19287

What's the point? The X-Light ones are going for about $75-80 if I want to buy 1 set by myself. A group buys seems to be more expensive...

Actually, I meant $80 shipped, with no additional PayPal fees so the eBay price is still the same or lower than your proposed group buy price.

One of the auctions for the X-Light ended at around $38 plus $45 shipping. That's only $83 per set, shipped. Either which way, as long as you guys get a good deal and are happy, that's all that matters.

I love my X-Lights!! They look better than the stock lights IMO. They're much brighter, and they seem to be whiter. That's with the 5000K that is. The components seem to be of good quality, and they look like they'll take a beating and keep on ticking. Good luck guys!

I don't think anyone here has had these for a long time. Eric has installed them and says that they're of good quality and look as though they may last long. As with all electronic equipment, you cannot be 100% certain, so your best bet is to take a risk now or to wait and hear from others in the future.

The build quality seems to be solid. The best part? They're not made in China so that's always a plus. All of the components; ballasts, bulbs, harnesses, wires seem to be built well.

I'm just hoping they last at least a few years.

I thought the same thing. Always heard of them being $200-$300 per kit. Times have changed, I guess.

Just to add my experience with Xlights. I ordered a set of HID's from MCMotoring to be installed on my old car on October of 2006. One of the bulbs burnt out in July of 2007, contacted them for a replacement bulb under warranty, paid $20 (via Xpresspost because of the tracking number and signature required) to ship the broken bulb to him, paid another $20 to have him ship the replacement bulb back to me, waited about at week and a half, installed the replacement bulb, looks great. Replaement bulb burnt out about 3 months later. So as far as quality, I don't think they're the best, they really cant be for that cheap when you compare it to some other kits that use philips ballasts and bulbs. I ended up ordering a pair of replacement bulbs off ebay from another seller for $40, they diddn't fit too well for some reason, had to take the Dremel to it. My headlights are on all the time though as they operate as my DRLs so maybe that shortens the life of these cheap bulbs.

^ Thanks for the heads up. MCMotoring is actually the seller that I was thinking of buying from, as they are the only ones selling the X-Lights on eBay.

The German HID kit is the one I got for my coupe. They are working great so far. 2 weeks in and still as bright as when I first installed. The only thing was a slight buzz from the ballast when first installed but I took that as normal (neon lights use the same principle to light up and have that same slight buzz) and cannot be heard within the cabin at all. If the only difference between these and a $300 set is a slight buzz, I say live with the buzz that is only heard when the car is off, the lights are still on, and you are outside of your car.

So your original bulbs lasted 9 months? I think that's actually pretty good if you're running DRL's. I'm sure when my bulbs burn, I'll order a different brand. The X-Light ballasts are very solid, well built units. Hopefully those never go!

I guess that's an OK time frame. I still have one of the original bulbs to this date. But for some reason the replacement bulb only lasted like 3 months.
