I'd use the red arrow location as it would be easier to route the wires while keeping the red plastic protector down over the terminals.

They are both battery connections. One is the wiring to terminal nut and the other is simply the nut to the bolt that holds on the battery terminal to the battery post.

I connected both hid fuse relay (+) O-rings to blue arrow. I think I used a 10mm socket to take the nut out and put both O-ring connectors in there. And I connected the (-) O-rings to the negative terminal.

ok so i need to get some relays and is there any that are better or worse for the lights.

i have a 2.5s that came without fogs, and am going to run the lows with an hid kit on the driver side relay and the fogs with an hid kit on teh passenger side relay.

would that cause any issues ? i have read that other people are doing it.

any help would be appreciated,

thanks

I've connected both of my relays to where the blue arrow is pointing. But now that auditatious pointed out that the red arrow would be easier... I feel stupid.

^That's the guy I use. If you search e-bay it seems pretty much everyone offers about the same product. (at least by looking at the pictures) But this is the guy I've ordered from and have always been happy.

I also used a relay to run HIDs to the fogs off of the passenger side and no problems yet. *Knock on wood*

Only bad thing is if you start your car with the headlights in AUTO position... sometimes all four bulbs won't light up. I always turn my car off with the lights in OFF position and once I turn the engine on, I turn the lights to AUTO. That method has never failed me yet.

isnt the point of using a relay so this wont happen?

Yea... but I assume the power draw of the HIDs at the same time is just too much for the battery to handle.

Besides, another point of the relay is to protect your stock wiring. I once had the HIDs connected without a relay and I blew something when one of my ballasts fried and my passenger side wouldn't work, even when I returned it to stock.

with the relays drawing power directly from the battery, it should be more than plenty to fire up all the ballasts no problem when starting the car with the lights on Auto
