Hey all, anyone ever seen/done a HID conversion on an '01 pathy? I was under the hood the other day, and noticed that I have fuse slots for HID. I looked around the sight and didn't find much. I have straight halogens in now and just wondered how difficult this would be.thanks in advance.

I believe the fuse slots are for 01 - 03 QX4, which does have HID, and for Japanese market Terrano.

I have this dude in Japan looking for the lights, but I def. will tell him to piss off if the price ends up being 2k. . he's a great guy for offering the service, but that's just dumb. . if I REALLY wanna do it, I'd just get the parts I need to make 01 QX4 lights work. . but I'd give up long before that.

couldnt you just get a kit off of ebay and install it.

like this onehttp://cgi.ebay.ca/XENON-HID-K...wItem

I have questions also.

if i was to install a kit like this do i lose my highbeam function, and is it even necessary after this? will it be blinding to others?

Also the Japanese drive on the proper side of the road, so installing headlights from Japan will just piss off people coming towards you on the other side of the road. Would be nice to have a proper HID setup for us. I do a lot of night driving in the country, I need all the light I can get.

haha yeah I def understand that. . The best I can do is to aim the driver's side down as far as possible. We should just buy some HID Hella pencil beam lights
