Hey, thanks Tyler. I appreciate it. I really jujst wanted to see again how bright those darn things are! THey are amazingly bright! At least it looks that way in the picture! Is the difference at night this dramatic? ( between stock and the HID's? ) I'm almost ready to grab these off of ebay and throw them in the fogs!

The difference is quite dramatic. The fogs really help illuminate the road. They are brighter because there is no hood over the tip of the bulb like inside the headlight. Definitely something to think about if you want some better visibility.

I believe he went with the xentec brand which can be had for $80-$100 or so.

Is there a possibility of the bulbs being too bright?

There was a discussion about this topic recently on the G35 forum. Something to consider especially if it will make your car "hot" to law enforcement.

Installed my HID's into my foggies... DAM* THESE THINGS LOOK NICE!!

Almost too nice... I went with 5000K, but aparently, stock it about 4000K or 4300K because my Fogs make my stock HIDs look like Halogens... lol In any case, good lookin' Tyler.. they do look really nice and add tremendous peripheral light at night!

Told ya

Yeah, I went with a 4300k because thats about the factory color. It matches decently. The fogs are slightly bluer for some reason though. Most likely the quality of the bulb compared to the OEM D2R.

even if you went with the exact same bulbs for both hl and fogs...there will still be a slight difference with color due to the housing and the lense cover. I've done a bunch of hid installs in the past and that's the conclusion I've come up with because they never look the same.

If I decide to install HID fogs, I'm getting the same X-Light 5000K set-up and hopefully they'll look exactly like the HL or at least very close.
