Okay to start off this post I will tell you the entire process of what I did for my fog lights

I purchased a 3000K kit on ebay for my fog lights and installed everything correctly, then after installing them the bulb seems to be flickering, the light that was produced on the ground was flickering. So, I read on the forum that I should install a relay kit so i purchased one and me and my friend installed it to run it on the 3000K kit, so after installing the relay the bulbs will still flicker. So i figured maybe it was the entire kit itself, so I ended up buying a new kit with slim ballasts instead (Xentec 6000K H11 HID kit) as the other one were big ballasts (Xenon HID Lighting some really cheap kit), okay so thinking that the new 6000K kit with the new slim ballasts would not cause this problem after installation, it gave me the same flickering problem, even with the relay hooked up to it. I am really curious and simply agitated about this problem and I wish someone can post some responses to help me with this issue.

To also mention if this info might be any help, way back in 2009, a lady hit the front of the bumper on the altima coupe and it was sent to a body shop where they installed a new bumper and replaced my fog lights.

There is also an HID 6000K kit installed on my low beam headlights and i have no relays or no issues with that and it has been running perfect since i purchased it

It also seems to not flicker so much when the bulbs are turned on without them being in the fog light housing in the bumper, but the lights flicker when the are put in the housing, if this makes it any more helpful with the issue.

The fog light hids are also H11 bulbs, and its a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 V6

Please if there is anyone out there that can help me with this issue, i would much appreciate it
Thank You

Welcome to the club Nyykid!
NY I assume? Wherein?

It sounds like you are answering your own question here, but I dont know how its actually happening... Vibrations could cause the flicker possibly, does it flicker in the housing if the car is OFF?

It doesnt make sense IMO that a housing could cause an issue like this, but weirder things have happened!
35w kits?

thanks matt i appreciate the advice bro, i will consider buying a new kit from the site you listed

one thing that i am also thinking is if it might be a vibration problem like Long Beach said
because the light still flickers with the car off but noticeably less
the light still does flicker with the car off
i will soon post a video to show exactly wat is happening just so it can be a little more clear
but i will definitely take your advice and buy a new kit really soon
and ebay kits are cheap and u do pay for wat u get, but sometimes the money is an issue lol
but thanks so much for replying to my post it was very helpful

damn I hope mine doesn't flicker then. I just bought mine today from ddmtuning.com $40 bucks for the kit, most people here use and recommend them as well. good luck with your issue though.

ive read its recommended to use the 35w for it since the 55w will run hotter which can possibly cause the fog lights to get too hot and melt

okay i settled on getting a kit from ddmtuning.com
its a 3000K 35W Slim Ballasts HID kit for the fogs
i paid $40 bucks
and i have my fingers crossed that when i install it, that it will solve my flickering issues
and i also bought their dual in dual out harness so we'll see
as for my ebay kit, well i guess i'll keep them in until i can replace it with the ddmtuning kit
and when i remove it, i will keep it as a nice reminder of how much trial and error i did for some simple little fog lights
thanks to everyone on this post for ur help

btw the fog lights in my car right now are attached to a 40 amp relay and a 30 amp fuse
do u think that this is causing the flicker problem idk maybe if its too much or too little current
i bought the relay on ebay and it says it works for the headlight, i was also wondering if fog lights use a different relay for powering up the bulbs

i think its just a relay its recommended for 55W kits
but i think that its usually if you have small gauge wires for ur lights
where it would take power straight from the battery, instead of using the oem harness to connect the ballasts too
its takes power from battery>ballasts>the powers the bulb
i think it will help idk, i just bought it anyways lol
p.s. correct me if im wrong anyone lol

DDM Tuning is legit, I have 6K 35W slim ballast in my low beams and fog lights and never had an issue.

You dont need that relay.

im really excited and really anxious to see if this ddmtuning kit will work
because im so tired of taking off my bumper for ebay hid kits
i bought 3 kits already off ebay and they all have the same problem with the flickering even with a relay
i bought this one on ddmtuning and im waiting to see what happens
at one point i thought it might just be my oem connections, because a lady hit my front bumper and they re-did my bumper and the fog lights, so maybe the body shop put in some bad wiring for the fog lights
but all the ebay kits (3 kits total) all had this flicker problems, even big ballasts or slim it didnt matter it still flickered
i am also thinking maybe it might me a computer problem with the car idk, maybe an error code eliminator?
so im really looking into this because i wanna get my lights right one last time or else im just gonna go back to regular halogen bulbs
and also im wondering if the lack of an engine cover under my car can make the bumper vibrate even more
cuz the bodyshop did a half-a** job putting on back the bottom cover, and doing 100 mph on the highway made it fly off my car, so i ended up just taking it off, so im wondering if the engine cover on the bottom can help stabilize the bumper to not make it shake so much
but i doubt that has anything to do with it because the headlight dont flicker at all or vibrate but i just realized it isnt really attached to the bumper
but it was a $65 Zenex 6000K slim ballasts kit on amazon.com and since 4 months ago when i installed it it works perfectly never any problems
i guess there are alot of scams out there and ebay kits are there just for a cheap buy, and really a cheap but not a quality kit

-reply to let me know if im making any type of sense, or if im at least a fraction right about this
THanks :)
