My left headlight just went out and since I'm gonna have to change I'm thinking about going with a higher temperature...maybe 6000K instead of the stock 4300K.

Have you guys done this? Pros/Cons?

Brands? Ebay ok on this one?

I upgraded from factory D2R to 6000k D2R in my maxima and liked the outcome. I will be replacing all of the front bulbs in the G to 6000k in a month or two.

That would be up to you. It is hard to match bulbs to HID tho. I have the headlights and foglights on the Maxima at 6000k but chose not to upgrade the highbeams cuz I really never use them. On the G I will probably upgrade the bi-Xenons and the foglights to 6000k and upgrade the "city light" to something in the blue range.

No. You will need to buy 6000k HID-D2S bulbs for your headlights, then you will need a 6000k 9003/HB2 HID kit for the fogs (which will include ballasts)

You will need to get a HID conversion kit which consists of two bulbs and two ballasts.

i can get you German made D2R 6000k for $100 shipped.

6k is probably the best temp. anything above 6k sucks in the rain.

One con is that the color temperature will affect the headlights usefullness especially in moist conditions. So if you are in an area where fog or rain is a concern I would stay on the conservative side of the tracks with a daily driver.
