HID converted to Halogen?? HELP!

I have a buddy that needs to replace his headlight assembly in a 03 Murano. Its for his kid so he doesn't want to buy a new xenon assembly. The question is ... Can a the factory xenon option be by passed to be able to run the stock halogens (9007)?

I would just spend the money for the new xenon's but he wont. I'm going to start on it tomorrow but I figured I would ask on here before I got going and it not be possible.

Yes, factory xenon lights can be converted to halogens with some work.
