HID conversion

so i have a 2.5s with the basic package without hid lights, so i could get one of these kits and make em HID? cuz these are def affordable for me lol, i thought HIDs cost a lot. im new to the car business so could someone explain to me would these work if i want HIDs for cheap? i couldve got em a few months ago if i knew about this

another question is,

my 2.5 didnt come with fog lights, but i have those 2 ugly sockets and i feel like its time to fill em in with some fogs,

what do i hafta do first? could i buy some OEM fog lights with stalks and just pop em in there? or is there a more complicated way cuz i called the dealer they said they hafta install something blahblah and it would cost me a lot of money.

could someone explain this to me thoroughly

Well your HID headlights you could go with the Xentec's on ebay for 80$ many ppl on the forum have it, including myself.

As for the fogs I'm pretty sure your car didn't come with the harness wiring for the fogs so you would have to buy those

or you could get the factory fogs and wire them in to the parking lights with a relay like im planning on doing.

$130 shipped is way too much for Xentecs. You need to search on this forum more, it will help out a lot in the end. There's still plenty of Xentecs on ebay, I see them go for $80 shipped

Xenon, (don't kill me if I have it confused fellas) is the gas inside the HID bulb.

xentec is a good cheap brand...i have the big fat ballast type for 6 months now without any problems.

i got 6k xentec for low beams and 5k x-lights for fogs.

i bought xentec for $80 shipped from ebay and still running til now.

i installed it through my wheel well, didnt take off the bumper.

jack up car take off front 2 wheels unfasten and unscrew the bottom of the bumper. move the wheel well plastic out of the way and plug and play.

i tied the ballast onto the metal bar behind the headlights with zipties. pretty tight.

thats what i did. what else do ya need to know,

generic made a diy on this with his sedan so take a look, im pretty sure its a lot more detailed than this.

I've just ordered the 6000k ones from ebay for my low beams - I emailed the dealer in Freehold NJ (where i got the car) to see if my car is prewired for fog lights - once i get a response i'll probably order the 5000k for the fogs... cant wait!
