HID conversion kit, please help

I am really trying to understand the HID and how it is going to affect my new Altima.

I have a 2008 2.5SL Sedan, black on black, and I want to convert the thing to HID.

I'm mechanically proficient so installation isn't the issue, but understanding the technology and knowing what to expect from it is important. I know 5000k is the temp I want the HID's to be, but I want to know the specifics of anything I need to know before going and getting the HID kit.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

What is the major thing I am looking for when purchasing the kit? Especially when related to my specific car. I want to order the thing by tomorrow, and get it installed next week some time if possible. Thanks everyone!!!

Why is this one so much more expensive than the other kit? I see it includes High and low beams, but besides that, what is the "true" HID conversion kit it speaks of?

I got my 6k HID kit from xenonlink.com for $135, plug n play and works like a charm.

I just installed mine a couple weeks ago. Here's a how-to write up I did for you guys, with pics and all. Since you're mechanically inclined, it'll be very easy. Took me about an hour or so through the wheel wells. Let me know if you have any questions.

Well, I'll tell you this Much Mario, you wont regret this mod..It looks great, specially when youre driving on the freeway and all the side markers glow.. but then again i have 6000k. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Low end HID kits run about $100-$130.. Mid range KITS run for about $180-$250 and high end KITS are like $250 and upto $500. I belive that your car might be using the H11 bulb size. Installation is very easy. If youre buying from Ebay, make sure to check ALL feedback. Good luck...
