Does anyone know if I can use the stock ballasts and just replaces the HID bulbs?

I am wanting a different color - looking towards 5000k and wanted to know if i can just swap them out.

Also what is out ballast output? I know if you have 35 watt and 55 watt in the same 5000k color the 60 watt looks more washed out. If you want 5000k color on a 55 watt ballast you have to buy 8k bulbs.

Any Feedback please!

You can do so with no problems, so long as u're using D2S bulbs. A lot of people on here have switched the stock bulbs.

Also I believe the stock ballast output is 35w

Stock ballast is 35w.

Also, if you want 5000k with 55w, you need 6k bulbs, not 8k bulbs. 8k bulbs will look more like 6500k with 55w. Just subtract 1000k.

If you are just replacing the bulbs it should be fairly easy too. Might not even have to take the wheels off. Just turn the side you are working on all the way on, remove the wheel liner and twist + pull the cap off the back of the light. Then twist + pull the electrical connection off the back of the bulb.

If the car comes stock with HID's then you need to get D2S bulbs.

Check back in a week with me. I just order a set of Ford Fusion OEM projectors, and a hid kit from theretrosource for my fogs.

If you go to hidplanet.com you will see a lot DIY of custom lights for headlights, and fogs.
A few months ago I replace the factory lens in my headlight to TSX-R clear lens. At night my headlights look amazing.....headlight would change color from purple to blue to red, and back to white depending on the angle, and bump in the road while still keeping the 4300K bulb.

Awesomoe, let me know how it goes and if you could post pics up or a DIY instructions that be great, and do the projectors fit in our stock fogs or are you going to have to mod them?
