i have been looking for some HID bulbs to install in my headlights. I have only been able to find ones for 95's and up. Do they even make HID's for S13's, or will any H4 bulb for a 240 do just fine.

Any H4 bulb should work. I had H4 HID's on my 91 240.

Correct me if im wrong but to run a true HID buld you have to have a separate controll module thing.

You can buy "SUPER HID BLUE XXXX 9999WATT HID BULBS"

But to have a TRUE HID lights you will need to purchase a kit that comes with the bulbs/housings and the HID ballasts. Philips makes a good one. Depending on which kit it's about $500 - $1000

The S14s use fixed headlights with standard pop out halogens, so there are alot more bulbs for it; s13 uses sealed beam but you can buy ones off eBay that allow you to remove/replace the bulb.

The real thing:

The fake stuff [pretty much just blue glass]:

You can clearly see the difference between true HID hardware and cheezah "HID Bulbs".. Compared to standard halogens a higher output "HID Type" bulb is probably a little bit better.
