Mine seemed like they wouldn't but then i pushed harder and then twisted and it worked. Just be careful if they bulb you got has plastic tabs on it because they are pretty fragile.

I ordered DDM.

Thanks Diamond. Yeah I've been trying very hard. I even think one bulb is already scratched up. Worst first mod experience ever.

I got ddm too. The red rubber part seems to be a little too think. You just have to push hard enough to squeeze that rubber part so it can slide into place.

I got it to fit, not 100% secure, maybe like 80%. And this was possible without the rubber piece which I dont think is a good idea. But I gotta call it a day. Bad lighting in the garage, no sun light and cold.

Slim here also.

I have this bundle of cables that I'm thinking is the harness but doesn't seem to be necessary at the moment. Idk how to connect it. Seems like its supposed to connect to both bulbs. I'm working through the wells so I don't know how that'd work out. I'll post some pics of the bundle later

One of the things that connects into the grooves of where the bulb sits. Fail. Be careful. Hopefully you won't run into the same issues. I'm probably just having issues cause I'm new to modding

Horrible first experience but I feel like I worked hard for the end result and for today at least I'm pretty satisfied.

Attempt 1: Going through front bumper via a DIY I found on here which didn't explain what to do after removing the bumper.
After removing it, I didn't see how the headlights were exposed or gave me more room to work with.

So I put the bumper back on, badly scratching up my car in the process.

Attempt 2: Going through wheel well.
More straight forward method. My bulb wouldn't and still hasn't screwed in 100% and I broke one of the prongs on one of the bulbs. However, all is operational and looks good. Couldn't figure out how to connect the harness on one end of the car to the other without it being messy so I'm not using it at the moment.
The well lining is a little out of place but hardly noticeable.

I also installed some LEDs for the stock interior lighting and the license plates.

Looks really good. Tried to keep the 5000k theme all around. However the license plate lights are a little much I think. There's even a glow on the ground from the bulbs.

My dash is very dim when the lows are on. Guess this is because I'm not using the harness' extra battery source?

Learned a lot, took too long, happy with end result.

uhh. are the only problems you ran into the ones with your headlights. I can see in your pictures you upgraded all of your lighting. Why didnt you just go through the wheeel well in the first place?

Yep, only problems I ran into were the ones I addressed.
I heard going through the bumper was easier so thats why.

Even OEM replacement bulbs are hard to get from my experience. Push push push and turn. Usually takes me 5 minutes a bulb but they WILL go in and they stay secure lol.

I tried for a good while on both sides but no luck.

CEL just came on. Checked it and its error 0603. Reading mixed conclusions about it. Heard it could be something in the transmission from some sources. Others say it has to do with battery stuff. It didn't come on when I went for my first test drive though, that's the weird thing. It was later when I went to pick up to eat that it came on.

That was me I told him the bumper was easier than peeling back the wheel well.... at least it was for me.

So are the Hids hooked up??

Let me guess, younscratched up the sides of your fenders where the front bumper meets. To prevent that, all you had to do is put some masking tape around that area before taking the bumper off

Yeah. I didn't even think of that. DIY didn't mention anything about scratches. But lesson learned.

I got all my HID's from VLED's. Search the forums, think they have a 15% off deal or something that expires on 30th. I kind of think they're too bright though. Like almost ricer bright. I'll see if they begin to grow on me.

Specific ones I got. I almost got 6000k's but wanted to match HIDs

i'm in the same boat as others who scratched up their car putting the bumper back on. if you have a friend there to help you can avoid scratching up the car.

i noticed that you've got the 2010 which comes with projectors. i thought that the 2010's came with hid's, or are they halogen projectors? (i thought projectors were hid only?) so did you upgrade the lows or the highs? are 2010 projector headlights h11? i kinda thought they were d2r or something, might be why they don't fit so well. mine fit no problem, they fit with a single turn, like a glove.

also, you say that you dash is dimmer now, if this is your first time disconnecting your battery then your dash will reset to the default settings which isn't a full brightness. there's a knob between your speedo and tach which controls the dash brightness which you can crank back up to max if you want. i like to leave it at 1 click below max so that i can tell when my headlights are on.

Haha duh, that's where the knob is...

But I believe only leather package comes with HIDs which I don't have and THOSE are d2r.
All the sources I've looked up say that mine use h11 but that may be the problem.

Thanks again for the LED write up

Haha actually I already ordered them before you texted me back. I just followed a guide on here that suggested VLEDs =p

V-LED's FTW!!!!!!!!

DDM d2s FTW!!!!!!!!

fender scratches- fail :(

the rubber grommets are made to be weatherproof, but follow these steps and u'll be ok for those that had probs:

pull that reddish grommet off over the bulb, dont touch the bulb.

throw it in the microwave and warm it up, or get a heater around you and just warm it gently.

throw it back over the bulb and snap it in place. kablamo. :D

oooorr- just dremel/sand off half the rubber grommet lol. <3

So for 2010 should I be using d2rs or h11s?
