I'm new here and just purchased a 4 door 2.5s. I am slowly building it. Just put rims, spoiler, and tinted the windows with 20% tint. Last thing I want is to get HID's. I don't have time to do it myself. I am located in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. Can anyone refer me to a shop in this area to do this?

First of all Welcome to Nico! Um as far as HID install goes there are alot of HID threads in the altima forum that should help you install it yourself assuming you have the compenents. If not then I would just take it to the dealership and have them install the factory HIDs on. But having some1 else install is always going to cost a few penny's and the Jew inside me always urges me to DIY first and last resort seek help. Post pics tho when your finished we all enjoy that

First af all, thanks for the couple replies that I got. As far as "reevaluate my life", I don't think so. Don't know about you but, I am in my 30's, and am married with 2 kids and a profession in the law enforcement field where I am constantly on call. When I am off, I want to spend that time with my family. Last thing I need for someone to tell me is "to reevaluate my life". In addition, in case if something burns out or doesn't work, I know that it is under warranty and I can just take it back there to get it replaced instead of having to send it out and waiting for another set to come in. Also, I don't want to start and then maybe drop my bumper (scratching it) or break some clips or lose some screws, and having to go to the dealer to get parts. It's happened to me in the past with DIY's. Like my post read..I came here for assistance, not for someone to tell me how to manage my life.

Yeah that was a$$. Anyway I would recommend taking it to the Dealership and having them install the factory HID kit on you altima and go from there.

As for the DIY I know about that haha i broke a clip taking my front bumper off replacing those ugly *@ss amber bulbs with Sylviana amber bulbs that have that blue lense but shine amber... anyway yeah it sucked but everything is fitting perfectly, as long as i dont break another one getting it off i should be fine. You do anything else to it or planning to besides the HIDs? GL modding my friend.

Thanks to you and Cartersaltima! The DIY link really peaked my interest. It doesn't seem that hard but unfortunately one member had a problem of on of the lights not firing up. I don't want to run across this and having to take my wheel on and off a cuple times in case it doesn't light up. We'll see...I don't have any pics to post. Only things I got done so far are tint (20%), 18" Black TSW Jarama wheels, and rear spoiler. I think I will be done with any other mods. My days of intakes/exhaust/ and headers are gone. I don't need to speed and race anymore. I drive fast everyday in my police cruiser

if you read all of the HID threads that are in this forum, whenever someone mentions taking their car to a show or have someone else do the work for them, immediately theres a million responses say to not do that because its so easy to do it yourself. Just do it yourself, or if you want im in silver spring....ill do it for you if you want.

haha Your the kind of cop I despise yet envy anyway glad to help anyway i can. I know you were trying to keep a warranty on the installed product i would check with the dealership. if they say no pull your cuffs out and ask again politely.
