Hey guys. So I'm finally going to order my HID kit this week but still can't decide between 5000K vs 6000K. I've gone back and searched the forums for opinions and pictures and stuff but I'm still unsure. Can someone please post pictures of either the 5000K or 6000K at night time with one picture right when you turn the headlights on and one after a few minutes. Also, any last hooras and opinions to push me over the edge either way would be greatly appreciated!

5K will give you alittle more light at night, both will be big improvement over what u have now...5k~white, 6k~hint more blue...I think the factory HID's are closer to 5K

Hmm...can someone who has 5000K tell me if there is even a hint of yellow in the lights or is it pure white or does it have a hint of blue? Can someone who has 6000K tell me how blue the lights are at start up (don't want to get pulled over).

5000K is pure diamond white. I have 5000K and installed 6000K in my friends car because she insisted on it, and now she's regretting it and wants to change to 5000K. 6000K in my opinion, is way too blue.

From reading on the forums (I'm still waiting on my 5000k HIDs), if you're worried about getting pulled over, I'd definitely go with the 5000k, the 6000k is okay for the most part, but the 5000k is closest to stock without any yellow. And generic is an avid promoter of the 5000k over the 6000k and he's from Hawaii so I respect his opinion. haha

dang those are pretty nice and whiter than I expected. I've heard there's too much blue in 6000ks but the 6000ks seem pretty white

I bought the Mcculloch 6000k HID kit off EBAY. It was $240 shipped for the H11's. They shipped Monday, so they should be here maybe today or tomorrow hopefully.

I got it from http http://www.hidexpert.com but on Ebay. There is a McColloch 5000k kit on there I believe. At least there was last week. Try typing in 5000k kit and see what you get. Mine just came in at lunch time. I plan on putting them on Friday during the day, so hopefully friday night I will have pics.

Would like to see the 6000 to get an idea of how blue we are talking.

If anyone is going to install their new lights soon (5000 or 6000), can you install just one and snap a shot or two to compare to the stock? (I have the 3.5 premium HIDs, hopefully you might too )

Want to get an idea before I go out and buy new lights is all

I got the package yesterday. I try to post some pics tomorrow night. I don't have the stock HID's so I don't think that will help you, but none the less.

I'm still debating on getting 5000k xentec for the headlights and fog lights. How long you have xentec on your car? Is it a quality brand? What is your intake on xentec hids? Thanks a bunch

Installed the xentec on my A/C last week, its a realiable quality brand, the ballasts and everything included look and feel of good quality. The 5000k are diamond white and look very good. I got them for 150 shipped from amazon and im very glad with my purchase. Hope that helps you make your decision

6k has a hint of blue in it. They are bright, and not y @ all. But it just depends on what brand you order. I have the one's D-Roll told me about from (xenonlink.com). Here's a pic

was install for the xentec's easy? did you have to do any wire splicing or was there an adapter that just plugged into the factory wiring harness? Are they both high and low beams? Do they still work on the "Auto" option?

I have JDM's 6000k HID's and not ricey at all.. but i noticed that it really depends what brand you get because I have 6000k JDM's on mine and 6000k x-lights on my g-friends car and her's are whiter than mine, but dont get me wrong' mine arent very blue at all, just a slight hint of Ice blue but they get whiter with time, I believe it takes about 50hrs to completely brake in the bulbs and mine have gotten whiter with time.
