I was wondering since mine are blown out, should I just replace them with the factory ones? I have HICAS locked.

The tie rod ends on the hicas can't blow out, they are just a piece of metal. I think you mean the ball joints, which are actually pressed into the knuckle and are not part of the tie rod ends. They are cheap...I called Courtesy Nissan for a price and IIRC they were $20/ea.

On a side now, out of curiousity, would you happen to have (or have access to) an extra set of Hicas knuckles? I have a WTB up on a couple of forums, but have yet to get an offer.

Thanks!

Maybe it was just a lot of caked on dirt that I saw. Looked a lot like a normal tie rod end, just on its side, but I do believe you. The car has 199k mi on it, and since I'm replacing the fronts with Tein rods and ends, I figured I would fix the back at the same time. It might be those ball joints now that I think about it, I will take a look when I'm back at home in 4 weeks. Thanks for the help!

As for the Hicas knuckles, I would contact Unstable Hybrids. I was at their shop back in November, and they had a whole assembly sitting on the floor. They might still have some parts. Hope that helps and good luck!

Thanks, I'll do that (although they'll probably want to charge me $943785923475.87 or something).

If your tie rods themselves are just dirty, spray some PB blaster on them. :)
