As a newbie on this site I was just wondering if there is any way that you can disable the HIcas system on our cars? I've heard that there is a way but I'm just unsure of how I'd go about doing it.

I didn't think 89 240sx was available with hicas.

splparts makes a hicas eliminator kit.Im sure other places do too.

But super hicas is so rare on a 240sx, it would be a shame to disable it.

HICAS can easily be eliminated by pulling a fuse- I forget which one. Any other parts you add will be to increase rigidity between those tie rods and lighten it up a bit, not a bad thing, but not necessary either.I'll look to find that fuse later.

I know my 89, RIP, doesn't have HIcas but a friend of mine has a 1992 S13 with it and he wants to get rid of it becuase he wants to turn his car into a hardcore drift car. Now I know that all we have to do is pull a fuse it'll make it that much easier....thanks guys.
