Alright, I did a search but I could not find a clear answer to what Im looking for. Id like to hear opinions on whether you think HICAS is a good or a bad thing, and secondly, how badly does having HICAS limit rear suspension choices?

(Sorry if this is a noob question, Ive only had my 240 for a couple of days) I dont know mechanically how the HICAS actually works aside from knowing it tilts the rear wheels at relativly low speeds... is it possible to disable it altogether?

it can be disabled, there are kits that jump the steering signal and lock the rear steering rack in place. Good or bad depends on who you talk to, I don't like it a lot of people do.

Most people dislike it, I don't think it affects suspension choices though.

I just wish people would list whether or not HICAS, and LSD as well, was included in their car.

I've got both HICAS and LSD. I like the rear steering, but it took a bit to figure out what triggers it...even now, it kicks in sometimes when I'm not expecting it. Planning to connect up small LED's on the dash to indicate when it's active, just haven't done it yet.

I would imagine that if you're autox-ing, that you would want to disable it; normal street driving, I'd just leave it.

I don't think that it limits suspension choices...there are plenty of manufacturers out there making parts for this car, HICAS or not.

Hope that helps.John
