HICAS

I own a 1990 Q45 and the HICAC light has been staying on. I know pretty much nothing about Infiniti's. Can someone help me out?

When mine came on, it was low on power steering fluid. That was due to a hose bursting on the way home. Nothing a tow truck and $500 didn't fix.

The HICAS light refers to a failure in the rear-wheel steering system that some Q45t models had.

Hey RooBee81, welcome to NICO.

After you check your power steering fluid, get over to the Articles Forum and read the chain guide entry! It could save your car.

You can pull your HICAS codes, but soemtimes when the light comes on its just the fluid level. Check that first, the HICAS system on the Q is pretty bulletproof.
