early this morning i came home to change for work and when i started my car the tach dropped to about 300 rpms and the car started running really bad as if it was about to stall. during this experience the hicas light was on. i added power steering fluid to the car and then the car worked fine. but now i have power steering fluid coming out of the top of the power steering reservoir. this is not my first time adding psf to the car, but when i check for leaks i can't find any. what is happening with this and if i do have a leak what main points of this power steering system should i check for leaks.

And the car's previous maintenance history is......?

Don't be afraid to use capitilization of the first letter in a sentence and proper names and pronouns. Most of us are native English speakers and readers here.

Well, Infiniti dealer performed service history can be had from your local friendly Infiniti service writer. Or it can be read to you if you register it with Infiniti Customer Service as the new owner. A portion or all of it may be archived, so don't expect immediate retrieval. In any case, since you don't know, and evidently didn't do a pre purchase inspection, it is time to start one now. First thing to do is to change all fluids and filters. Plugs would be next (with valve cover gaskets if leaking), TB, EGR and IAC valve cleaning and plenum cleaning if it needs to come off. If it does, then under plenum hoses and KS and harness.

You can ohm test the KS through the harness and the injectors. Many articles here on how to do both.

Well your getting fluid coming out of the PS resovoir, it seems to me you have air in the system. This is what mine did when i got air in the system. It would start coming out of the resovoir when i turned the car off....

Ive never looked into bleeding the 4 wheel steering system. Do you have the service manual?
