The case on my RB20 HICAS P/S pump was leaking, so I took it apart and found that the o-rings were all shot. So I put it back together with blue Permatex and now it will not turn. The only way I can get it to turn is by loosening all of the rear cover bolts. Even with only 5 ft-lbs of torque on those bolts, the pulley binds.

I know a lot of you guys also pulled the vanes out of the rear rotor on the HICAS pumps... did anyone else have this problem? Just seems strange that there is so little clearance between the end of the shaft and the rear cover if you remove the o-rings and use gasket material.

Has anyone been able to find replacement seals (there are 3 oddly-shaped o-rings)?

I fixed it. I disassembled most of the pump and put something together incorrectly, thus the binding on the shaft. At first I removed the whole rear rotor, but it turns out you need it to hold the shaft in place. When I put it back on, I did it incorrectly.
