HICAS light NEVER on

Hello everyone I just picked up a 93 240sx SE with Super Hicas however the light for it never comes on. I have looked at the FSM online and volt tested the connector to the lamp assembly which is seeing 12v with the ignition set to "ON" as described in the manual. I have tried three different bulbs (I know two of them were working for sure) but they just wont light up. Ive searched several forums and google and have found no one else experiencing the same problem. Any ideas and direction would be awesome as I am completely new to Nissans and would like to perform a HICAS diagnostic to see if there are any (potentially dangerous) problems with the system. I would rather have the system working and to make a decision whether or not to get an eliminator kit after I have experienced it.

i know nothing about hicas, but i see you have checked for power at the socket, did you check the ground there also?

Im going through a similar issue, although my hicas light is not coming on, and I have no power going to the plug/light
