i'm not sure if this should go under tech, but i need some general info on the hicas system please and if its reliable and how it affects driving.

It's about reliable as any other hydraulic&mechanical&electrical system on an 11+-year-old car.

Do a search on how it works and affects driving.

If you need specific information on the equipment itself, lemme know. I removed it for my track car, and know (the physical aspect of) the system rather well.
