Hicas conflicting information

Greetings Nico-club,

Working on fixing up a newly acquired 91 S13, with a Blacktop SR20DET with super-hicas.

Want to maintain the super hicas, replacing belts and doing catch-up maint, I've come across three part numbers for the super hicas belt, and im slightly confused on the installation as the powersteering pump doesn't appear to have a tensioner on the Hicas model that I can identify.

Part numbers i've come across for the Hicas p\s belt...

Dayco - 5040330
Poly-V - 4PK990
Gates - K040345

Additionally is it possible to flush the complete Hicas\power steering system of fluid? Thanks.

Those are just different part numbers for different manufacturers. They're the same size belt, just made by different companies. Any of the 3 should work.

I believe the P/S pump itself moves back and forth to tension the belt. The adjustment should be on a curved bracket under the front of the pump itself, kinda like the one used on top of the alternator. Or at least that's the way it is with the non hicas pump.

The belts are not the same length.

The Pump\Pulley\Reservoir assembly are not the same between a non-hicas to Hicas version, and their is no curved bracket sadly, I can provide pictures after saturday.

Wow. Ok then... I can't imagine why there'd be such a variance between suggested belt sizes, unless people are running different pulley sizes somewhere. Could just do what most people who come to my store do, and buy all 3 and see which fits best, return the rest.

Pix would definitely help in that regard. The pictures I'm finding of the SR20 hicas pump all have that slotted bracket on them somewhere.
