New Q 45 owner here. Got the car through a repair shop that had done some work on it for the owner. Condition ? Interior looks very good for a 197K miles car, previous owner,I think, is a real estate seller who did a lot of mixed driving. Was a smoker though, burn marks on the shift counsel and the carpet but,no lingering smokers stench .
Engine oil is dark brown,at the add line so I added a quart of straight 30 W in it. Engine is smooth sounding, although,it does have a miss somewhere with the plugs so I think a wire is grounding out. This is an intermittent problem and only come up when its warmed up.From what i heard from the repair shop, the plugs where replaced,a coil was replaced and the link arms for the forward suspension where replaced.
I've put 100+miles on it so far, nothing come,s at me that needs immediate attention.
Gotta say, what a nice ride this car is.
Thanks for the info from this forum...

What year is your Q45 and how much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?
Also, change that engine oil and filter ASAP, especially if it's brown!

Good luck with it

Yea,I was thinking that too.Its a 2000 anniversary edition. That dinky oil filer looks like something for a lawn mower. Don't know if I want to go to full synthetic oil, leaks and age of seals and I'm not a big fan of light weight oils in V8,s 5w-30 but it my first 4 cam and I'm used to push rod engines.
Transmission oil looks and smells good and the coolant is a bright green.
Picked it up for $3000 cash
