First I've heard of it. When you did the other 2 did you replace the entire long block, with heads and oil pump? It seems like too much coincidence, as I think those are the only failures I've heard of that weren't chain guide related. I am in the process of breaking down my 22x,xxx mile engine. I am measuring clearances and wear. Just started on the heads, but suffice to say that so far I am entirely blown away by how little wear this engine has. I'm debating whether to stick with plastigauge, or go all out and buy electronic tools that can measure down to .0001".

Far as I know there are three versions, the Y32, Y33, and american version. None have VTC, and imho the Y32 version is the best as it retains the spider manifold etc.

Can you take lots more photos of your motor please, and from all different angles ? I want to get a good view of all the vacuum hoses in & around the plenum, some of that stuff is still giving me grief.

Thanks Doctorchee, I would like photos of the intake manifold & all the vacuum hoses around it, from all angles... if possible (And the throttle body)

Your engine definitely does not have VTC, there are no VTC solenoids on it. It looks the same as mine, with a few differences in colour... like your manifold's been anodised like the rocker covers, for example.

Hi Guys,

New on the site, so excuse the ignorance.

Would like to invesgate fitting the VH45 to a vehicle we call the Nissan Sani in South Africa. It's otherwise known as the D21 model. It currently has a 3.0L V6 engine.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Welcome aboard, H.S.!!!

Shouldn't be difficult as long as the external dimensions don't pose a problem.

VH's are popular swaps into sandrails and off-road vehicles, so there's plenty of documented fitment info.
