hello everyone! I just stumbled across your amazing site while trying so hard to figure something out. So i really need to find out what the measurements of the drain plug are, for a 1988 Nissan Maxima. I broke down- lost the plug somehow- and just want to get my car off the side of the road. Parts stores will not have one until friday or saturday! Can anyone help me so i can use something else just to get it home? PLEASE! Thank you so much! :bigthumb: :whip :crybaby

The bolt diameter and thread pitch is 12mm x 1.25, the length I wouldn't get more than 30mm long, preferably a little less. I would also get a metal and rubber washer that both fit very snugly to the bolt shaft for a temporary replacement.

Next, I would be checking with the last place or person that did your oil change, because they are most likely responsible for the plug falling out and probably why you "broke down" (or as I call it, losing all your oil).

Hope it helps.

I think she's talking about the radiator drain plug.

I'm not sure what the size is, but they could probably just pull one off the bottom of another radiator in stock for you.

If not, you could try one of these universal plugs:
