Hey guys, I'm new to this section of the forums. I'd spend more time over on NPORA or in the R50 section when I had my pathy. But life happens and I was able to replace with this beaut, TT 1990. 200k on the ODO.

Lemme know what things I should look out for right off the bat. I know it'll need an alignment first, and I saw some rust buildup on the exhaust piping.

This is the first time I've owned a boosted car, my first car was an 81' Corolla TE72 Liftback with like...50hp :P
And my Pathfinder was the LE 3.5 with 250 stock. All I had on it was a Flowmaster and a K&N Filter. But this car seems much, much faster aha. I try not to push it too hard because of the mileage. I'm going to UTI here in AZ in two weeks so I'm not trying to end up blowing a bunch of money swapping parts off the bat.

do a tune up, fuel filter, plugs, air filter, injector cleaner etc... then if you do not have records of service dates id look into the timing belt and components, trans fluid and diff fluid. maybe pads and any old bushings if yo want to be real anal. otherwise enjoy it until the motor wears out.

I recommend not throwing in any injector cleaner if you still have the old style injectors (Model years 90-93). I don't think the new style injectors even need any cleaner.

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes into the z32 section guys aha. Knew I'd be gladly welcomed no matter where in the NicoClub forums I went. Definitely will add the maintenance to the list of things to do. As to what I have in plan, aha. First I need a job.

BUT.

lol. In order I've got.

+ Tuneup (Plugs, belts, fluids)
+ Wheel bearings? (At certain speeds the ride gets very choppy like the engine is cutting out.)
+ Alignment
+ New color matched bumper
+ Alarm system
+ Dual Flowmaster 40's (I've got one leftover from my Pathfinder in the closet)
+ Detachable wheel/tow hook/ "mad jdm" stuff (okay maybe not so much aha.)
+ A proper wheel setup that isn't ridiculous
+ Coilovers.

+Depending on the engine condition this point, i'll start jumping into engine performance but I'll see.

I would also look into the injectors. Take a multimeter to em and check the OHMs on them. they go out quite a bit. Also I would check your PTU and see if it's the old style one. Other than what you've covered do you know when your timing belt got changed last?

Sorry about the delay, keep forgetting about my thread. School and such. But that definitely sounds like a good idea, once I start tearing into it I'll take a look at that, UTI did give us these fancy multimeter deals.
