Hi there, just recently got another z32 ( after wrecking my old one last year)
Its been great till now, black, black leather, auto, 91.
just recently ive had an issue where it runs great for about a mile, then ill hear a pop, it feels like a stumble, then a check engine light, where it begins to die unless i give it gas, or itll hold a low (300-200 rpm idle) ( ive tried checking it, but theres no light /code when i turn it back on). Earlier today i had a jump around from 2000 to 5-6000 rpm in 2nd gear , it was very obvious and my passanger could even feel it.
Any ideas?
Been a while since ive been on the forums, so im apologizing incase this is in the wrong area.
Thanks!

and if someone could tell me where the speed sensor is, im about to lose it if i spend another 10 min under the car in this texas heat :P ( believe me ive searched, and ive heard 10 different locations.)

Dunno what your problem is but your speed sensor plugs into the side of the transmission near the back end of it on the passenger side (LHD model)

It is in the wrong section but i would suggest the idle air control

This should help you make sure you book mark these:

Good luck let us know if you need anything else

BTW my car had similar problems to what your describing (my car is a 90 oem tt 5spd) i had took the iac off my parts car and then slapped it on there and *wola* the idle was good again :) so i suggest you try cleaning it first then if that does not work try finding a buddy or someone that can let you use one

Hi and welcome to NICO!

I'd look into what's been said. Also, for future reference, the tech section is for mechanical questions and troubleshooting help.

Had something similar happen while i was running cruise control. I undid the line off the motor and reset with minimal tension on the line and havent had the problem since....but then again, the problem only happened once.
