Seen the VQ35 dropped into a (120Y)HoneyBee.... I think I'd just do basic bolt-ons to it. Thing will be silly fast with just the motor.

What is the factory engine on that cool Datsun? That car would have more value if the stock motor gewts modified. A V engine would make it fast, but the stock modified would make it a class car.

Any body can have a Datsun with a swapped engine, how many performance J series, A series, or L series do you see these days?

In 10 years, a V, a SR, those engines will be considered obsolete, while a J series would be considered a jewel.

i know you are right about the swap, but i have to have this car as my daily driver. if i do the swap i will have performance and not bad gas mileage. the stock engine is a 1600 r16 engine, 5 main bearing. it is a cool engine but i need the relialabilty also it only has a 4 speed which makes it suck on the highway. if you know of a beeter swap let me know.

I'd keep it mostly stock.

I used to think these things looked dowdy as hell.

But then people started saying they looked like Alfas, and I began to see it that way.

I love that car.

These are getting harder and harder to find. I know you want to mod it out but man, if you could pick up a cheaper DD and restore this one, you will be able to recoup your money very easily.

sad to hear you are thinking of selling it. would be a great daily driver once you got it fixed up. i have a 710 station and i am thinking that one day when the engine dies...i am going to electric. figured with the space might be able to get some decent miles without a charge....

The car is my daily driver now. I dont want to sell it but it needs a better home and a owner with more time. I have a 9 month old son and i wor full time, so im busy. I have seen an electric 620 a few years ago and it looked and i hear it drove great. so goodluck.
