Hi i just got this little 4 speed for free from an old couple.. the odom says 39k miles and it sat in a garage for over 5 years.. i just changed the oil and put a new battery in but it still wont start.. i think its something with the fuel line.. but i dont know what or how to work on these trucks and i dont really have a lot of money to take it anywhere... any ideas?

I'll take it off your hands...kidding or maybe. Anyway, welcome to NICO. Have you run the basic checks on the engine? Compression? Does it have spark? I believe the fuel filter on those is frame mounted, might want to have a go at that since you say it's been sitting 5 years and all.

ya i found the fuel filter.. looks pretty much brand new.. and it has spark and compression.. i think it might just need a new fuel pump.. which wont be hard to get.. it was a free truck so i am going to enjoy it while i can

Those have mechanical fuel pumps attached to the cylinder head, not in the tank like most modern car. It is run off the camshaft.

yeah i got it running.. put new hoses on it and blew out the lines... now i have nothing on the clutch.. its totally limp... any ideas?

Clutch master has fluid? Bleed out any air that may be in there?

bled the air out and got a new clutch master.. but i think i need a slave as well....it pumps fluid out easy enough but.. it just wont go into gear or do a thing.. still limp...as my uncle said it needs some viagra.. and i hate doing this but i need to talk to some one sometimes about this truck.. i have no clue waht im doing but i have no money to pay for a shop to look at it... 406 890 8871.. names joe....

Welcome Joe, does the shifter feel loose? How does the clutch pedal feel, is it firm or have little resistance? Could be any number of things. I have had a throw out bearing fork arm break twice on a old Mitsubishi years ago and the clutch pedal would almost fall to the floor.

well the clutch pedal feels stiff now.. bled it.. but it wont shift into gear.. i can drive it if i start it in gear using the starter. and now it just wont start... im going to put new spark plugs on tomorrow and some new hoses.. but when it does start it acts like its not getting any gas.. just three days ago it was starting just fine... but i may need a new gas tank as my fuel filter seems to have a lot of rust in it already.... anyone know where i can buy a tank for a decent price... as i live in north western montana.. and there doesnt seem to be a lot of these trucks up here...
