Hey! I just wanted to introduce myself to these fourm members. I've recently bought a stock 1989 240sx fully loaded as a fun daily driver. I'll probably encounter alot of problems as I play around with this car. I'm going for old school drifting car "look". I'm planning to get some 15" epison black mesh with polished lips rims with 215/15/60 tires and lower the car by cutting the spring. I'm planning to cut the spring alittle because I donot want to have a stiff spring rate. I'd like to maintain the comfort as well.

I have moded 1993 rx7 fd3s, pulling about 350hp at the wheel and I'm planning to just lower the 240sx the car and get rims so it'll look "ok" and can have some fun as well. Let me know few pointers of how and what do i need to do inorder to have some fun in the 240sx.

Thanks!Tadashi

welcome, and the rx-7 is sweet. It all depends what you want to do with the 240sx on what mods you will choose. Personally, I'd just spend the money on the rx-7.

welcome to NICO... I understand that you want to keep the comfort in the car.. but you will not attain that by cutting the springs..

you are better off going with a set of lowering springs... I had eibach pro kit and theose lowere my car about ~1.5" and the ride was great...

That FD is bumpin'!

Do not cut your springs if you plan on having a comfortable ride. Not only will your *** and head hate you for it, but you will eat your shocks at an increased rate. Trust me, it's worth to dish out the extra dough (if you can) if you wan't a comfy ride!

Thanks guys for the compliments.

Ok, I wont cut springs.Maybe Intrax makes a down springs with stock spec. I'm not planning to modify my 240sx. I just want the "looks" and leave the performance to stock level.

WOW. You have a modded FD pulling 350 whp and you don't know the effects of cutting your springs.... sound like bull. Anyways, welcome to NICO and good luck with the S13!

lol no I'm not bs'ing about my fd. I know that you have to spend the money for things, and thats how I got to where my fd is at, but my wife wont let me spend my money onto 240sx since I've told her its a commuting car. I'm not looking for performance out of it, but then again I'd like the car to look nice.

Thanks
