I have a 1989 Nissan 4cy PU I purchased new. Great little truck. Parked this truck early summer because the AC was not working and I live in Arkansas. It gets hot here. Anyway when the weather cooled off this fall the little guy would start and idle just fine but will not take fuel on the get go. Somedays runs great, most days not. When I start bragging on how well it's running, I get let down again. I have replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor. Still not better. Anyone help me?

Maybe the fuel pump is on it's way out. You could presurre test and see how much its flowing.

Welcome to NICO!
How did the plugs look when you took them out? Could you tell if it was running lean or rich?

Either a failing fuel pump or a failing ignition coil (although the coil is unlikely). Were those fuel injected in '89, or is it still carb'ed?

89 was TBI, so yes, it was injected.
