You're still in Irvine? Do not get a catco then. It does not have the NOx scrubbers. I forget which brand that's a 3 way (with NOx scrubbers), I can however, verify that Catco's do not have the scrubbers from my own emissions woes about a year ago.

I use a Magnaflow "hi-flow" cat. I got it and installed it at the same time I installed my BRM exhaust. It's been working great for me.

I also live in TN, we don't have emissions tests, but I imagine It would help you out.

Nope not in Irvine, in Frisco just a bit of a ways up I5 from you lol. CA has the same emissions policy for NorCal as SoCal.

Emissions, hehe. I feel sorry for the **** you have to go through, oh wait you guys live in Cali where it is warm and you didn't have to shovel 3 feet of snow today.

There is a slight difference actually. In socal, they make you put your car on a dyno roller and test the engine under load. Never had to do that back home.

Roller smog is the standard in the Bay Area. So SoCal's no different than NorCal except varied degrees of 5-0 Nazism.
