so its been a while since i have posted any updates... about a year later i did a complete sr swap. gosh it was a crazy week but we got it done. I had a lot of help from a good buddies Brian and Henry thanks guys!!!

anywho here are some pics from before the swap... back when i was living in Covina, LA

i was crousing through Azusa Canyons and decided to take a quick pic



so after a couple months of getting ideas and numbers together i decided i had enough time and money to get the parts and start a swap project on my car. i made a call to marco at SR20STORE and made a deal with him for an s14 blacktop sr20det.
a full swap for a really good price and the best service.

i picked up an exhaust for 300 bucks in Long beach BLITZ Nurspec R

and the engine it self

here is what the old engine used to look like... gosh it was pretty crappy once i look back at it... i remember always being scared it would brake down on me while going to school.... eh its in somewhat of good hands now. what do i care right??

so we started to get to work



this may look like nothing has been done but trust me it was alot of progress

after getting the engine in we started the cutting process haha... good thing i had a sidemount..


douring the start up we started to bleed all the systems. clutch brakes (we had to take off the lines to the abs because it was in the way of the wiring harness) and the power steering.... unfortunately the power steering high pressure line was leaking alot everytime i turned... i fixed it now but that was $70 wasted damn ebay.
[if you didnt know before. if you have an 89 or 90 or any type of single cam engine you would have to change the power steering reservoir to the right side like a dual cam and the throttle cable to a dual cam throttle cable because the sohc would not reach.]
i thought it was this part of the line but it turns out it was in the middle of the line... someone had already tried to fix it by crimping it with brass line to try to stop the leak.... it didnt work at all

since i had a friend in santa cruz that was helping me through the swap on the phone he had told me to do the swap and get back home in one piece. i did and we changed the power steering line along with some fine tuning to the timing and installing the side mount intercooler brackets.

so right after i finished my swap i was in my last week of going to UTI
i finished school with a smog certificate im a future smog tech!!! haha i also got some new tools


about a month ago my friend Diego told me that he could get a deal on tires for my new enkei 92s so i jumped on the deal so did he

right away that night i put those wheels on

we then started taking trips over the mountain mount madonna to go to quicklys... its a great drive if you like taking turns... google that SH** (mount madonna in santa cruz or its called heckerpass road)

after a friend had found out i had done my own swap he asked if i could do his.. so i did for the heck of it... and we just finished this last thursday after a week of hard work.

it was funny because i used my own swap for a reference haha... some drama had been going on with the cars owner and his dumbness but i just finished the car and let him and his problems deal with themselves...

now im just working on getting my smog license so i can get a job and earn some money for my next upgrades on her...

i have been autocrossing in the dsp section everytime... im getting kinda tired of autocross though... i think im just gonna save a bunch of money and fix my car on the suspension area so i can be ready for Laguna Seca. 200 bucks for pretty much a whole day??? not bad at all

i payed 2400 for the complete swap... yeah on second thought it was an s13 blacktop.... man everyone has been telling me different things... it sucks hearing the wrong information

my car chirps 2nd and its got a stock twin cam... but the actually hear the sound its alot tires. some tires are quiet and some sound like you ran over a dog

yeah thats true.. but i noticed ka's have a good amount of torque.. so as long as you have some kind of lsd or welded diff then for sure you will chirp tire when you do a hard shift. either way i was glad i could do it

but all crap aside. this last memorial day the guys and i were pretty bored so we decided to go to san fransisco.
we gathered everyone up at my place and set of for a 45minute drive. everything was fine until my bolts that connect the down pipe to the elbow fell and let my dp scrape all over the highway.
so i pulled over and pulled the whole exhaust off.

while i was doing this some friends were looking for wire to maybe salvage the look of me having an exhaust.lol

somehow they found a bunch of mice everywere....
bro and i taking the cat back off

FAIL!

and now for the catback to split tony and serg being ****s haha

so we took the whole exhaust off, now only driving with an open elbow and a loud a** turbo spool
it sounded sick but gosh i was just thinking all the way if i was doing any good to the turbo.. probably not

we made it to frisco easly and started looking for parking

we relaxed at a 50's dinner and ate. so after we set off to look for our cars and maybe get back to town

unfortunatley i was following around my brother and he was driving around san fran like stupid looking for a tunnel. ive never seen this tunnel, a cop was chasing us around because we looked suspicious driving around town slowly with my loud a** car.

i was getting pretty mad but eventually we found this tunnel and i just did a fly by.. oh god it was soooooo loud
my buddy diego barely got any picture

so the second time around the tunnel we went slow... here is the outcome.

after that we left back to watsonville... more updates on my car later
i just got a boost controller and a rear sway bar... i missed yesterdays autoX owell.

im running a vlsd. it took me a while to find one because i had to get an ABS-LSD so yeah
i know i know.. ABS is lame.. but eh i like it.. and im too broke to buy new lines to cancel it out.
as for the smog?? i dont smog till next year so i cant answer that yet haha sorry

so its been a while since ive updated this thread.. and gosh so much has happened haha
i recently got a pignose lip

and started stripping the rear end from the sound detonation

and most of the time ive been hanging out with some fellow 240 enthusiasts and great friends/mentors

it took me a while after i got out of school to get a job but now... its all different haha

so because i have more money ive been able to get greater ideas, yet still on a budget ive been able to gather some parts
*intercooler piping thanks to cxracing
*synapse bov thanks to craigslist.. cant beat the deals lol
*greddy intercooler becasue of the last swap i did
a couple friends and i have been able to do photo shoots around town and in other spots
here are some results

not perfected but yet nice


also a friend of mine was kinda bored and started sketching me while i was in my car
