Congrats on your new G! I am curious though. You mentioned that you paid just $250.00 over invoice. What was your "Drive out" price? I asked because I just purchased my new G37S (It will ship to me on Monday and I take delivery on Wednesday) for what I thought was a pretty good deal.

- 2008 Journey 2DR Auto- Ivory Peal, graphiteBase MSRP $35,000.00Options added...- CGO, Trunk Cargo Net $60.00- NAV, Navigation Package $2200.00- PRM, Premium Package $3200.00- SGD, Splash Guards $200.00- SPL, Rear Spoiler $550.00- SPT, Sport Package $1850.00- TEC, Technology Package $1150.00- WAS, 4-Wheel Active Steer $1300.00- Freight $715.00- Transportation to my location $450.00The MSRP on my car is $46,225.00

My Drive out price (tax, lic, etc.) $45,600.00

Did I get a good deal? All comments welcome

Thanks for the welcome. Here are a few pics of the car. I will post the cost later tonight when I have more time, but from where I am sitting your deal seems pretty good TexasGman.

Not a bad deal except for the freight and transportation costs. I never understand why people don't fight these fees. Even if they found it at another dealer.

My motto is if they want to sell it then they need to have it on the lot. If it is coming then they would have put it on the lot anyway. I have never and will never pay destination charges. These are immediate "stop of negotiations and walking my a$$ out the door charges". I have had to do that a couple of times but there is always another dealer willing to take your business.

Plus it is always nice when the dealer calls a week later and says ok we will drop the destination charges and you get to say too late, already bought one. That has happened before too. Would have saved you $1,200 anyway.

Just my $0.02.

The $450 is to haul the car in on trade from another dealer. The $715.00 may be negotiated still.

Otherwise, is this a good deal?

Thanks,

With the options you listed Edmunds shows the invoice at $42M and MSRP at $46.5M.

Personally if you are paying $45.5, I wouldn't pay the freight or transportation costs. With sales tax included, which is probably $2,900, it isn't a bad deal. I would still have heartburn over the freight and transportation fees.

It sounds like the actual price of the car you probably got at invoice and that is pretty good.

Others may have a differing opinion.

Same here. Got my black on black G37 Journey with prem, sport, nav packages and a few other little accessories on Monday. I'll post pics after I finish tinting the windows and changing the wheels and such.
