I used to drive a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. I've had pleasure driving it for the past 2 years:

- Exterior styling is truely unique.- Nothing sounds quite like the MIVEC at 6500RPM.- 750 Watts of RF beats any stock BOSE I've heard to date.

But I began to get tired of Eclipse's

- Huge turning radius.- Heavy and bulky body- Slow and irresponsive transmission (mine was AT)

So I have moved on. Introducing my 2008 350Z Grand Touring. In case you wonder about the colour, it's called Glacier Pearl, which is identical to Pike Peak White in the US.

Overall, it's very difficult to contain my excitement for the Z. Transmission is very smooth yet responsive. Power is always there when you need it. Brembo clamps tightly and silently. Bi-xenon lit up things like nothing else, and red LED tails are simply intimidatingly bright.

LOVE THIS CAR. JUST LOVE IT.

Thanks guys for the welcoming!

I feel like there just isn't enough time to research about this car. Too many mods available (remember I came from the 4th generation Eclipse)

I guess I am going to start with lights. I've ordered hyper white LEDs for map / trunk / licence plate, as well as the 2 parking LEDs.

Then I am going to get some 8000k D2S and swap out the stock 4500K ones.

Welcome! Great color. I would shoot for an exhaust for a good first major mod. After I bought my HKS I was ready mount my car right there in the garage, it changed my view of it so much.

Good point!

I had a Tanabe Medallion G on my old Eclipse (not really that old, 2007). Initially it sounded cool and deep, but after the break-in period, it began to sound pretty damn loud, especially in 0-2500 RPM.

That's actually one of the reasons I traded the Eclips for this Z, is that I no longer thought that noise was a cool factor, but almost a bit of "pain"?

No offense to exhausts of anybody here with aftermarket exhausts. Just that I probably would end up doing the twin intake first =)

Thank you for the suggestion though!

Intake would be a good place to start, and here is a good price if you want a NISMO CAI intake: http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=382 you would be hard pressed to find it cheaper anywhere else, unless you find one on e-bay or someone on here selling one. I found one on here, and got it for $150.00. If you gonna start with the intake, you should do exhaust at same time. Sucking in all that extra air, and forcing it through the tiny stock exhaust is just WRONG! Like trying to fart through a straw-

CAI is indeed the next on the mod list. As for exhausts, I've had Tanabe Medallion on my 07 Eclipse before, and it got louder and louder-------not sure if I like that any more?

Though the sound of CAI sucking in air is music to my ears, so I'll definitely do it. So Nismo no Stillen, which one do you think is better?

At the back of my head, I want to boost this car. So I wonder if I should save the money and get the supercharger / instead.

It's all a matter of opinion. If you go with a product because of it's lower price, most of the time your going to get what you pay for. I have personally been to the Stillen compound, (perks of living in California) and looked and touched at all the aftermarket parts that I wanted to get for my Z. Stillen does make some good stuff, but the intake is not one of them. It wasn't put together very well and was a little heavy, compared to the NISMO. Again, this is MY opinion and NISMO might not be the one for you either. There is allot of stuff out there in the aftermarket world, and you have to get what YOU want. There is some good exhaust systems out there that don't get so much louder as you break them in, as in your case with the Tanabe. I didn't like that one either. Greddy is a good exhaust for this car, (Again, this is MY opinion) and if your gonna boost/supercharge your ride, go with the EVOTT setup. Hope this was helpful in some way!

Thank you very much, that was VERY helpful!

The expense of S/C is very high, and the workload involved is intensive, my Z feels fast enough as is (stock), so I may just add in a set of intakes, along with some other minor mods.

NISMO stuff is known for their good quality, and I don't mind dishing a bit more for this, plus there's warranty from Nissan on this as well.

What I REALLY want to get, is the body kit (at least the wing) from NISMO S-tune GT.
