Hi,

I'm planning on installing some hi-end Mercury MX6 Speakers in my versa. Just concerned with the mounting depth on the front and back.

Does anyone know if 2.5" will fit in the front?

Otherwise I'll need to go with Polk db651s in the front and Mercury MX6 Speakers in the rears.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I recently installed Pioneer TS-A1683R 6.5-Inch, 280-Watt 4-Way Speakers and they have 2.25 depth south of the mounting brackets and 1.25 north (sticking out) and I did need to put spacers because they were just to deep for the front door. I could not roll down the windows, so I've put 1/4 in rubber spacers between the metal and mounting brackets of the speaker and that did the trick, no problems with windows or put back the door finisher. Interestingly enough rear door were without a problem with just 1/8 in rubber spacer.
