I just thought I would come by and say Hi, it's been a loooooooong while since i posted here when i had my CA18 S13 Silvia..

(here is a lil vid i found of the old silvia - http://bezman.com/ca19det/ca19_startup.WMV)

well anyhoo, I just got myself a new datsun b110 (1200 Sunny) with a CA18DET

here are a couple photos and will keep ya updated and expect a few questions, i may have forgotten everything bout these little firecracker engines

Her name is Foxy Brown, she's fitted with a bone stock CA18DET, crappy blow off valve, 5 speed with slipping clutch , disk brakes all round and thats about it haha, no intercooler and a blown out rear turbo gasket

good to see float and boostboy still around

I'll keep ya'll updated about the build up and progress, already ordered a dump/O2 pipe and new gaskets and will be replacing the clutch (recommendations welcomed), doing some Z32 brakes, coilovers and yes, changing the color..

I am thinking about getting a new turbo manifold (recommendations welcomed) GT2871R, Ebay intake manifold , new headgasket, FMIC, 550's and some kind of management, adj cam gears and maybe some 256 cams.

anyway, glad to be back, amazed my account was still active, really impressed with how the community has grown and aftermarket support for the CA has gotten better!!

Looks quick. I'll bet it doesn't weigh much, does it.

Welcome back my friend! And as you know the door was never closed. Good to see you back to your roots, but in a different platform. You should already know what to do to make it do better and we look forward to you doing as well (I know I am). What year sunny is that puppy?

Yep those are the ones. Those things look like they weigh next to nothing.

yeah they are pretty light, they are a unibody truck, not made to truck around alot of stuff but that ensures that they can scoot

I drooled over the thought of owning an old datsun, thinkin' it'll never happen..... then BAM! about a month ago, a FREE 1976 datsun B210 fell into my lap!! I feel so lucky(or blessed) Of course my spare CA18/auto transmission will now find a home. I have the auto harness & ecu(transmission control box thingy?) also. Just gotta study if anything wires up differently.I'll post pix of this other 'oddball' when its ready

Hey guys small updates, the turbo i got with the car ended up being a IHI Subaru turbo that was welded onto the CA18 manifold

What turbo manifolds would you recommend for a low mount GT28R?

here is a walk around the car - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDvzvxjrBkQ

Stocker for a tight fitting bay or any re-enforced SSAC from egay will work. The SSAc will push the turbo down farther

Nobody makes them in volume , but there's people that will make one. let's face facts, the CA crowd is cheap and I do mean real cheap, so it's hard to justify bulding good manifolds that will never be sold in abundance. Again, there are folks who makes them, but they will be custom and will be for your particular application. I paid good money for all of my FWD and RWD manifolds (over 4 grand between 4 cars), but its money well spent.
