Hi beam questions

So only my driver side high beams work. Had a spare light so I swapped it and still no change.
When the lights are up, you turn on the high beams and the driver illuminates and the passenger has no light...............

but

when you hit the high beam switch with the lights down both high beams come on until the lights get all the way up then the one dies out again..................same is true for the high beam indicator, it only comes on with the lights down hitting the high beam switch............then goes out once the lights are raised and the actual high beam goes out.


Any ideas???

Combination switch most likely. It's a common point of failure and with a wiring diagram and multimeter it's pretty easy to test, or just go to a junkyard and find a cheap donor, the same switch came in a lot of nissans of the era.
