So I reciently installed HID 8k low beams and I hate the fact that when I change to Hi Beam it looks like $hi!..... So I was mentioning to another NICO member that I was going to get another set for HI beams.

He said this was bad idea cause Hid's are not ment to be flicked on and off...

So im wondering if I do this, does that mean I just have to replace the bulbs every 6 months or so because it burns out or what????

Also is there a specific brand of HID I should get that maybe better for Hi Beams???

Thanks guys

Not a good idea. HIDs have a long turn on time as they warm up. Turning them on and off isn't necessarily the problem, it's that you need to turn them on and wait a few seconds before they are actually useful. The only effective way to get HID hi beams is to rock bi-xenon projectors.

How often are your high beams on that this is a problem?
