Hi, ive been reading these forums for quite sometime. Alot of you guys really know your stuff. Over the last couple of months with the help of your knowledge ive got enough parts to get me started on the turbo route.I have a nissan pintara/bluebird/altima (bluebird down here in NZ), with a ka24e motor. I have sourced a Z18et manifold and T3 type skyline Gtst turbo and whole pile of other parts. I am in the process of putting it together.

My question to you guys and girls, firstly

Is there a reason why you tap the oil return line into the bottom of the block. Could it be tapped into the up most edge of the sump?Is there an easy way out? Something i could 'T' into perhaps? (draining the oil, taking the sump off etc is a bit of a hassle).

Thanks again for sharing all your knowledge and experiance, i wouldnt have even considered taking the turbo route otherwise . Lucky i stumbled accross these forums.

I dont know where you saw someone returning oil to the block itself, everyone that I know of (including myself) brought their oil return all the way down to the sump/oil pan. You want to bring it down that far anyways so it can get at least some chance to cool in the pan before it goes back up and around the system.

As far as an easy way out, I really wouldnt mess with the oil supply for the turbo, it's my feeling that its important enough that you should really make sure you do it right. Its a pain to take off the oil pan sortof, but I think it's worth it, and definetly necessary.

Good luck!
