So trying to replace the rear brake pads and the piston on both sides will not retract, so cant fit them around the new pads. i did loosen the cap to the master cylinder reservoir. removed the parking brake line actually got all of the stuff apart properly but yea......anywho..... whats going on?

BTW i am using a large C-clamp to compress the piston.

Thanks for the help. ( )

Dont use a C-Clamp. The pistons must be twisted back into the bore with a clockwise rotation. Notice the four notches on the surface of the piston? A caliper piston compression tool will get the job done. If you cannot turn them, they are seized and should be replaced.
