I've got 180k on the Z now and time for another clutch.Has anyone found a rebuilder for the centerforce PP?Do they sell just the the plate for it? Mine is warped beyond resurfacing and I don't really want to spring for the whole set-up.I'm not real happy with the Centerforce DF.Anyone using the ACT or custom set-up?

Anyone resurface the flywheel more than .020"?How thin can you go on the stocker?

I'm sure Centerforce would probably sell you another pressure plate, but I personally would buy a whole new clutch kit since you have to get all the way into it to do it anyway. I have been running an RPS Max 6-puck clutch on my TT for the last 2 years, but it is a bit overkill if you plan on keeping your car mostly stock. If that is the case, I would recommend getting an RPS street disc clutch setup. Their kit includes a new throw-out bearing as well as a clutch alignment tool. Concept Z Performance has great prices and service, you can check them out at http://www.czp.us. I also recommend getting a new rear main seal to put in while you're there, since it's simple preventative maintenance. My FSM is at the machine shop with my block right now, so I can't tell you the specs on the flywheel.

Thanks guys for the quick reply!

The car is very modified with sport turbos and lots of boost.I've had sprung puck clutches and hybrids- don't want another- 'need more than 15k out of it and smoother release, it's a driver.

With the boosted pedal, I'll stick with a heavy PP and an organic disk- It has good feel, good holding and long lasting.

If I can rebuild my CF, I'll do that cause the springs are good and with the weights, there's more clamp than most out there- no need for someone elses over-priced disc, TO, tool or kit.I'm taking it to a local re-builder tomarrow to see what he can do.

The RPS +700lb PP sounds like it will fit the bill if I have to go with a new one- Will they sell it by itself?

Yes, they will sell them seperately also, as I inquired about just buying a new disc for mine this winter, and they said they would sell the components seperately.

How about the flywheel? Anyone resurface it more than once or twice? The book says to not even resurface once if it is warped or has heat cracks in the surface, just to replace it.This seems rediculous to me, given the thickness and the cost.Kirk
