I personally think the Greddy kit sucks, so my opinion is going to be biased. It comes with 370 injectors(to small), Emanage piggyback(sucks), 2.5 inch DP(should be 3 inch), internally gated turbo(not high boost friendly), and a huge price tag.

Also, IMO that body kit is not my style at all. Pop rivets on a street car FTMFL. That hood looks real bad, and the fenders do too. This is all personal i guess, if you like it go for it.

Hes got some good suspension/brake mods tho.

Idk i wouldnt pay any more than 8. I wouldnt buy it personally.. But i dont think its worth more than 8.

FTMFL, a FTL derivative, for the loss.. You can figure out what the MF means.

I mean to be honest with you, a customer of mine has a Greddy kit on his car and its a fun car to drive, as is any ka-t. I just would rather build something from the ground up myself(and have it blow up on me 3 times ) than buy someone elses car, but thats a personal thing.

Truth is, buying someone elses project saves you a LOT of money and time, as long as its not a crap job. If it had stock aero i would think it would be an ok deal, but that body kit and the pop rivets(or screws idk) just turn me off. If you ever wanted to take the body kit off you would have holes in the car.

I know the owner of this car and he has barley driven it. He bought the car off a reputable member off zilvia. Right when he bought the car he just did maintenance stuff such as a new clutch etc.

Power wise it is not the best. I know cause I use to have a greddy kit. I upgraded many parts from it.

But this car does have many good points to it. It has a reasonable amount of miles considering how old it is, it is a 1998, its clean title, it has many many mods to it, I think its pretty gangster looking minus the hood.

With a few mild upgrades to the turbo setup it can be a real contender. For the price I doubt you can buy a 98 chassis and do this many mods to it for under 8,000 bucks. I would buy it in a heartbeat knowing the current owner and how he only gets very legit cars.

Yes he has tracked it at thunder hill but I think of it this way. 1 day at the track is same as 1 day as raping a car on the streets. Plus tracks are paved very smooth. Streets are not. Id rather take a car thats seen the track a few times than the streets for 2 years.

Ive had my 240 since I was 15 and im now 22 so I guess I could say Ive been around 240's a while. The owner is a friend of mine and I will vouch for the legitness of the car. If you do buy it I hope you put a lot of time and care into this car because it deserves it. You will have to smog the car yourself as the add stated for obvious reasons. He might smog it if you give him incentive to such as a good solid offer on his car. Beware also that this car is very flashy so if this is your only mode of transportation might not be the best choice since cops do like to profile our cars.

Im surprised to see a member from YC as well. There is a small group of S-chassis owners in this town which are mostly my friends haha.

If you got any questions regarding his turbo setup or anything feel free to ask since I am pretty familiar with the greddy turbo kit and its capabilities.

That car is going for like 6500 now.

It looks ok, but nothing I would ever do to my car, too damn flashy.

IMO i dont like the kit, i'm more into the simple JDM kit for the kouki's. the motor doesnt look that, bad but i havent seen it up front so wouldnt know. and yes the greddy turbo kit is crapp for the price that greddy sells it for.

The only thing that turns me off is knowing that the owner takes the car to the track. but it's just me since i dont like abusing my ride, probably push it once in a while to make me feel good, but i dont like beating on my ride.

You live in sacramento lol your asking to be pulled over in any modified S-chassis car haha.

Anyways, I still think for the price its hard to beat. For everyone thats saying the greddy kit is junk he could always take it off, sell it along with a buttload of other parts and buy a good turbo setup.

yeah, the car is hella flashy. but shes beautifull if you ask me. i just dont want any problems down the road.

and if i wanted to upgrade the turbo and etc. it shouldnt be too big of a mess due to i have half the parts already assembled.

and if its 6500.00 thas even better then im like 95% sure im going to buy.

but why soo cheap? hmm..

what do you guys think?

The price is fair. The economy sucks, he knows he cant get a lot for it, but that low asking price does make me wonder.

Idk, just ask him for a ride along and for him to tear some **** up to see if you hear or feel anything weird. If it drives fine then its a good deal. The parts on the car alone are at least worth 6500 if you decided to part it out.

Same crap you would check on any other car. You should also make sure its smooth on and off boost. WOT runs are a must.

WOT = wide open throttle. He means if its smooth in boost like their is no hesitation, bogging, etc. Also the price of the car is 7600 with the wheels in the pictures. 7,000 without the wheels in the picture.

If you buy it and decide to part some of it out hit me up haha i wouldn't mind snaggin a lot of those parts.

I'll vouch for the car too. It's pretty dope. Tastefully modded (minus the aero..I'm not into the flashiness either lol)

Whoever said they don't like that a cars been to a track I ask this:

Why build the car to handle really well and to go really fast if you don't intend to put the car on the track? Isn't that why we mod our cars? (Unless you're just into looks...)

BTW I'm another guy from the YCCCC....but an ex-S-Chasis owner lol

What do you drive now?

EDIT: Oh and Yuba City...the cops are sooo nice compared to Sac and stuff..

Not into flashy stuff lol. Your car is blingin compared to mine. I rock stock except my rear bumper which does look stock. But Smogsux does have a point. Why build up a awesome car and just drive it for show? If you want to go out street racing dont buy a S-chassis car. Go buy a AWD dsm or a mustang gt. To be honest that car is a mid to low 14 second car at best the way it is sitting right now. Stock S200's, 350z's would probably pull away from it. If you want to upgrade the turbo kit to get more power it is not going to be cheap.

He said theres alot of guys looking at the car and wanting to buy it since he posted it for 9k. No one bought it...

I came to take a look at with intent to buy, but it was a lil too much for my taste.

It has alot of good parts, the car is worth way more than what hes asking.

Make him an offer, alot of people want to buy but in the end, money talks. GET IT

you have a S13 and have 7600 to spend?!?! There is a lot of stuff you can do to a S13 with 7600 bucks. You can even buy a S14 and slap on a ka-t setup, wheels, coils, and paint for 7600 bucks if you come across some good deals. Just find a stock S14 or go all out on your S13. Either way I can help you out when I got the time. Modding a car to your own taste is always better than buying a already modified car IMO.
