Could one of you possibly take this image of the moon, and make it appear from top to bottom over the course of 50 seconds? Like have it start appearing here:and end here?

Yeah, kinda like a movie. Kinda have it wipe from the top down over the course of 50 seconds.

tinted: I wasn't sure about that. Is there any program out there that can do that?

yes. Macromedia makes one. Its called fireworks

or any video editting software should do it. . . After Effects is made for that kinda stuff. . .

Image Ready...it comes BUNDLED with photoshop come on now.

Image ready is made for easily producing and editing animated gifs with photoshop quality...which is what I'm assuming you want to do.
