Hey man, i figured I would go directly to you on this cause you seem knowledgeable and I cant email from work.

I went ahead and bought the DVD Player, 7" widescreen, 2 DIN. The Q has the Bose system in, all factory. Am I gonna have to do anything special to wire up this DVD Player?

Yea you have to get an adapter to get the Bose system to interface with the after market radio. Or just replace all speakers all together.

Either way some work and money is involved.

Just use a proxy to email at work (Not responcible if your IT admin catches you)

i think i will probaby just run new speaker wires from the unit to the speakers and bypass the amps all together. The rear deck speakers are blown and the ones by the windshield are whining anyway.

The "windshield speaker" are actually A-pillar tweeters. But yea if you replace all the speaker then you should be good.

They maybe sell the adapter but you can also splice the wires off.Well mine was done like that. Other than that remove all you BOSE amps if you replace the speakers and cut the wires from the BOSE harness to connect the speakers. Then strip the wire and strip the new speaker wire get them together and boom.Let me know in case I didn't make sense.Kind of dummy this morning.

Don't splice anything, anywhere, except a remote turn-on for your amplifier(s). New ones that is not the BOSE amps.

Best solution is to replace all speakers and rewire all speakers. Anything else won't sound much better than stock - these cars come with pretty solid stock audio systems. Have extra body panel clips on hand, you'll surely need them if you haven't taken apart many interiors.

True only if you have bose speakers with and aftermarket headunit or if the other way around.Sotck speakers seem to be amde of carboard or paper I think.I just say rewire all speakers get and aftermarket headunit, some new spekers with tweeterz and your set.You option these are just opinions.
